| Outlook Express Instructions – POP3 Configurations |
Please note the name and email address given here is just for example.
Open your Outlook Express and select "Tools" from menu then select "accounts" This will bring you to the Internet accounts window shown below. Select "Add" to add an account or select "Properties" to adjust settings.
Please click on the "Properties" button.
Here you will fill out your general information including your name and email address. Please note that your email address has to match the POP3 account for your mail.indiainfo.com Domain. You cannot use your Internet provider email account here.
- Click on the General tab
- Make sure that mail.domainname.com is listed under the Mail Account section.
- In the Name field, you should have your full name.
- In the E-mail Address field, you must have your full email address listed.
Please click on the "Servers Tab".
Shown Below is the server settings used in Outlook. Please make sure your incoming and outgoing mail servers are mail.domainname.com. Some Internet providers require you to use their outgoing email servers, so you can replace the Outgoing (SMTP) server with that information but leave the incoming set to your domain settings.
The Account name must be the entire email address as shown below.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3) field, mail.domainname.com should be listed.
- In the Account name field, make sure that your login-id is listed.
- Please check the option “My server requires authentication”. This will help us to stop mail spamming.
Click the "Advanced Tab”.
Shown below are the advanced settings used in Outlook. Please make sure your incoming and outgoing mail server port numbers match the screen shot below. Another tip is to set the Server Timeouts from the default setting of 30 seconds to 1-3 minutes.
Set the Server Timeouts (default 3 minutes 30 seconds). This you need to increase depending upon your Internet connection speed.
Note: - You can set the outgoing message size by checking the “Break apart messages larger than”.
